Summary
The Canon e-Maintenance (e-Mo) integration allows 3manager to collect data directly from Canon’s e-Maintenance system.
This means you do not need to install a 3manager data collector for Canon devices if they are already connected to Canon’s e-Maintenance.
The integration is configured on vendor level and then activated for the customer accounts you want to include. This makes it quick to start collecting data for new Canon customers without installing local software or adding API keys.
How it works
- Canon’s e-Maintenance system collects meter readings, supply levels, and status information directly from Canon devices.
- 3manager connects securely to the e-Maintenance service and imports that data into your 3manager environment.
- Once connected, the devices will appear in 3manager just like any other managed device. You can use the data for dashboards, reporting, alerts, and contract management, without needing a separate 3manager data collector.
- This integration only works if the customer already has e-Maintenance active with Canon. The service may be subject to additional costs from Canon depending on their agreement.
Enabling the integration
- Go to settings in 3manager at vendor level.
- Select integrations and choose "Canon e-Mo"
- Click "On" in the Enabled
- Enter your API Endpoint and API Key
- After the integration is set up, go to each customer account that should be included. Open integrations and activate Canon e-Mo for that account.
- Enter the Customer ID from your e-Maintenance (e-Mo). This links the account to your vendor-level configuration and starts sending data automatically.
- Click "Save.
Reading frequency
By default, Canon’s e-Maintenance sends data once per day. If you want to increase the frequency to three times per day, contact Canon support. They can adjust the schedule.
Version and ongoing optimisation
The Canon e-Maintenance integration is currently version 1.0. It is under active optimisation to improve how quickly alerts and updated readings are transferred between Canon and 3manager.
Things to note
- This integration only works for Canon devices enrolled in e-Maintenance.
- There is no need to install a 3manager data collector for those devices.
- Enabling the integration may require an active e-Maintenance agreement with Canon.
- You can activate or deactivate the integration per account at any time.
